Are you fun and funky? What about some bright colors or a fun, furry jacket?
Dance? a form fitting leotard to show off your poses.
Love the water? What about a long flowing dress on the waters edge?

WHAT NOT TO WEAR FOR SENIOR PICTURES
Wrinkled, dirty clothing is definitely out!!!
You are not going to want a portrait of yourself in a wrinkled shirt covered in Great Dane hair.
White pants. However great they look in person they tend to add weight in pictures so we generally try to avoid them.
Revealing clothing and short skirts - however cute - can make posing very limited for senior portraits. (If you have a cute skirt that is fine. Just try to limit it to one look)
Clothing that makes you uncomfortable or doesn’t fit properly. (For example, if you are not a fan of your arms then do not bring spagetti strap dresses unless you have an appropriate sweater or jacket to cover)

RECTANGLE BODY TYPE:
Busts and hips are about the same width.
STYLING GOAL:
Enhance your figure by creating curves.
HOW TO ACHIEVE:
- Choose darker colors for your waistline
- Good push-up bra to lift your chest
- Wear structured and fitted clothing
- Accentuate your waist with belts or nipped garments
- Do not tuck your shirts into your pants
- Create curves wherever possible. Example: bell sleeves vs. straight, round neckline vs. square.

PEAR BODY TYPE:
Wide hips and narrow shoulders
STYLING GOAL:
Take the attention away from wider hips and draw it to the upperbody
HOW TO ACHIEVE:
- Wear darker colors on your lower body
- Good push-up bra to lift your chest
- Choose fitted or flaring skirts
- Avoid embellishments on pants
- Choose a cowl, off shoulder or square neckline
- Choose tappered or flattering short sleeve

HOURGLASS BODY TYPE:
Bust and hips are the same width and have a small defined waist

To follow your natural outline and not unbalance your body frame.
HOW TO ACHIEVE:
- Accentuate waist with a belt or nipped garments
- Invest in a good bra
- Choose darker colors around your waistline
- For necklines choose oval, sweetheart, square, scoop, v-neck or off-shoulder
- Jeans should be mid or high rise to lengthen your legs
- Avoid low rise jeans

INVERTED TRIANGLE BODY TYPE:
Shoulders are wider than hips
STYLING GOAL:
To balance your broad shoulders and chest with your narrow lower body
HOW TO ACHIEVE:
- Avoid wide necklines that widen your shoulders
- Soften broad shoulders with soft drapping fabrics
- Keep away from skinny and tight pants
- Draw atention to your waist with waist details
- Flattering necklines include scoop, v-neck, u-neck, asymmetric and halter

CIRCLE BODY TYPE:
Most of your weight is held in your middle body with slender legs and a flat bottom
STYLING GOAL:
De-emphasize the midsection and create a defined waist
HOW TO ACHIEVE:
- Avoid unnecessary bulk around your waist
- Invest in a good push-up bra
- Wear structured garments that hold in and mask extra weight
- Choose low and wide necklines such as v-neck, sweetheart, scoop, square or strapless
- Choose bootcut, wide-leg or flair jeans in low or mid rise
WARM VS. COOL SKINTONES
Your skin tone can have an impact on what to wear for senior pictures!
FUN & CASUAL
Fun and casual is all about being you.
This can be your favorite pair of jeans paired with a t-shirt and cute jacket. Or just maybe it is your comfy oversized sweater.
You can do so much with this style. For example it works great for senior pictures with your dog!
It also works really well capturing your hobbies like reading or drawing
It can go anyway you want it is all about you!
URBAN STREET
What to wear for senior pictures when you are planning an Urban style shoot.
For an edgier look when shooting in more urban areas this look works well.
Think anything from Doc Martens to Air Force Ones, shoes are an important aspect of this look.
This style also covers a range of looks from hip hop, thrift, alternative, 90's and anything in between. Don't hold back and show us what you got!
CUTE & CLASSY
From pantsuits to cute dresses this is more of a classic look.
Think blazers, dresses, hats and glasses. This style is a bit more reserved than glam but can come close.
Don't forget a nice pair of heals and complete the look with accessories like necklaces, bracelets and hand bags.
BOHO
Keep your look light and airy layering sheer fabrics and lace. (Don't forget nude undergarments or sticky bras - as we run into this frequently)
Make it bold with fur, tribal patterns, suede jackets or hints of middle eastern flair.
Accessories are key to building this look. Remember layered necklaces, lots of rings and stackable bracelets.
COUNTRY CHIC
Grab your cowboy boots and hat. If you were just at Country USA this will be your jam.
Boot cut jeans and denim cut offs paired with your favorite blouse. will make this look complete.
Throw in a little floral or lace to soften the look.
Another way to go is with a cute dress and short jean jacket
GLAM
So... Do you have an amazing prom or homecoming dress you LOVE but only wore once?
That will make some gorgeous glam portraits.
From a golden field to "trash that dress" in Lake Michigan.
Flamboyant style that almost goes too far? This is the look for you
Don't forget to pair accessories and some nice heels!
